About Randy!

      I have been around marinas and boats since I was 9 years old, growing up on a lake in northern Illinois.  Right out of high school I went to Marine Mechanic Institute (MMI) in Orlando Fl,  and from there have continuously gone to factory training schools all over the United States to keep advancing my education (Mercury, Mercruiser, Yanmar, Yamaha, Honda, Volvo, Evinrude, Tohatsu CERTIFIED). There is pretty much nothing I cannot do on a boat, boats are in my blood and it's a career I enjoy! I live for that engine problem no one can figure out (or fixed wrong) because I will get it right; this is what continues to drive me.  I am truly happy when people are out enjoying their boat and happy with my service. 

     Work experience: I was the head certified technician/manager of a 450 boat slip marina In Stuart, Fl for 19 years, even having the privilege of working on the Miss Geico race boat and a few celebrities boats as well! I moved to Hiawassee in March of 2020 and I worked 2 years at a local dealership in towns county as the senior tech before deciding to go out on my own in March of 2022.  

     Customer Service is my #1 priority!!  Feel free to meet with me, talk face to face about your boat or jet ski; have a personal mechanic that you trust and can call anytime.  I am honest, reliable and very professional, and will get your boat up and running ASAP!  I have fast turnaround times. References available.  

     When not working I enjoy saying hello to y'all on the lake when on my personal boat, motorcycle riding, camping, hiking, home projects, and helping out any way I can in the community.

Some things to note:

*Boat turnaround times are pretty fast, pick up is necessary at least 3 days after finished, we are not a storage facility and will charge if left longer, unless arrangements are made ahead of time.
*Cash, check, and all cards accepted. We use square invoice for out of town customers. 
*Labor rate is $100 an hour. You will not find a more honest and fair priced mechanic! 
*Hours 8am-5pm, Sat's by appointment only. 

*P.S.  If you see us on service calls driving around in a Prius don't be surprised, as we are trying to keep our costs as LOW as possible to keep your service costs down.
